The Founder
Author, certified professional life coach, motivational speaker, internet television show hostess, global technology recruiter and visionary. Cynthia Harper is the founder of My Favorite Charities® (MFC), a national fundraising foundation specializing in Gifting the Giver™ to recognize those who give tirelessly of themselves with little to no pay nor benefits. The organization was founded in 2006. Her focus is to link corporate sponsorship with grass-root community organizations.
As a certified professional life coach, Cynthia has coached and motivated a myriad of professionals. Her presentation style is energetic, thought-provoking, challenging, content-rich, and spiritual.
Her inspiring portfolio encompasses a variety of topics. Two of her favorite discussions are "Discovering your Purpose" and "Key Elements to Fundraising." Both subjects challenge audiences to improve their effectiveness and capabilities in order to achieve the highest level of growth. Her works include her newest book/CD entitled Three Seasons, a reflection of her personal journey of reinvention.
Harper also is the creator of The C Harper Show. This television show brings to life the altruistic efforts of those who give tirelessly with little to no pay. They are purposed to become the catalyst for grass-roots and community organizations and provide a tangible platform for everyday people, corporations and celebrities to meet.
Cynthia has recruited technology executives for corporations such as Kaiser Permanente, Delta Airlines, and ACS Technology. She has developed valuable corporate associations that are the cornerstone of support for Cynthia as she fully submerges herself in her true passion - community service and fundraising.
In addition to recruiting, Cynthia launched K Dot IT Consultants, Inc. The company provided high- level technology talent for large public sector and corporate firms. As a result, the company was awarded national recruiting contracts with Atlanta-based Lockheed Martin, CDC, MARTA and SITA.
The daughter of an active, social worker parent, Cynthia often found herself at the center of fundraising activities throughout the state of Texas. The social welfare spirit was a natural progression for Cynthia as she began her own community development endeavors. She has served as chair fundraiser for the Atlanta Boys and Girls Club of East Carver mentorship program. During her tenure, she collaborated with large and small corporations who eventually sponsored programs. With the help of these corporations such as Delta Airlines, Chick-Fil-A, Omni Hotel, ADT and countless others, program participants were exposed to national travel, computer training, historical venues, and etiquette.
Cynthia embraces the scripture “life and death is in the power of the tongue.” She adheres to the belief that you will have what you say you will have, you will be what you say you will be, and you will get out of life what you put into it. She feels that every ordinary person has the ability to be an extra-ordinary citizen. Cynthia is a graduate of University of Phoenix with a BS/BM degree.
